Authentic Conversations

Listen in to my interview with fellow Berrett-Koehler authors Jamie and Maren Showkeir. I was struck during our talk about how easy it is for well-intentioned, honest people to slip out of authenticity and into manipulation (myself included.) Authentic Conversations are table stakes for any change effort. Without them, it doesn't matter how compelling your vision is. Effective execution is impossible. Change isn't successful. Jamie and Maren share their unique take on this essential element of all healthy individual relationships, teams, organizations and society at large.

Authentic conversations are at the heart of every change effort. In this RTSC Spotlight interview I am joined by Jamie and Maren Showkeir, fellow Berrett-Koehler authors, who have recently written the book Authentic Conversations. We cover a lot of ground including what makes for authentic conversations, what gets in our way of having them, and why they matter.
